Winter Waterfowl

Despite my lack of Flickr Posts as of late, I have been busy this month!  I have been heading out to Fifty Point Conservation Area, and Confederation Park in Stoney Creek on my lunch breaks whenever possible, to shoot some of the winter waterfowl before they are gone.  The shots above are more for identification purposes, rather than a nice portrait of the animal like I am always striving to get.

The hardest aspect of shooting winter waterfowl is the fact that they are usually very skittish, and don't like to get too close.  The majority of these shots were taken in Lake Ontario, where the birds can get very far away from you in a hurry.
